If You're Here, Go There

It's kind of nostalgic for me, being here, this morning. It's been awhile. About 5 years. It's been longer than that since I moved my blog to a new website.

When I began this blog, in 2011, I wanted to share from a book I wrote some 20 years earlier, but never got published. That first month or so, really I was posting almost every day, and sharing modified excerpts from my book manuscript. I just wanted to share what God had taught me. It was a 2 Timothy 2:2 thing - "The things you have heard from me ... entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

Now, a blog is kind of a shot-gun blast way of doing this. Bang! and BBs fly everywhere and hopefully hit something - a faithful someone - who will "get it" and pass it on to others. But, hey, it's better than not getting it out there at all, right? I certainly hope so.

At any rate, if you've stumbled onto this blog, perhaps because of the hashtag #HeIsARewarder, let me encourage you to go to my newer blog and website at therickcarr.com. My book is soon to be published. At this writing in May 2020, we are looking at a summer release, perhaps early August. The title is Extreme Gratitude.

How I got from He Is a Rewarder to Extreme Gratitude is explained somewhat on the new site and in the book. But in a nutshell, the facts that God exists, and He rewards those who seek Him with the greatest possible reward - Himself, are foundational facts to the message of the book. The actual message is the process of learning to give thanks, to outwardly, joyously express gratitude at a level that doesn't even make sense, but is quite Biblical - Always. For All Things.
